The inauguration of Faculty Revalidation Programme(FRP) for the academic year 2019-20 for the faculty members of Paavai Engineering College, Paavai College of Engineering and Paavai College of Technology was held in the Smart Hall at 02.00 p.m. on 18.11.2019. The programme started with the prayer song. Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, inaugurated the event by lighting the kuthuvilakku and delivered the felicitation address. The chairman, delivered the inaugural address, he insisted that this FRP is a healthy exercise for the faculty members to enrich, develop, update, their professional skills in teaching and learning process. He further highlighted that this forum provides an opportunity for the faculty members to exhibit their contextual knowledge and the teaching skills for the betterment of themselves and to the students’ community at large. He concluded that the teachers should make use of this platform at a proper sense with right attitude and excel in their life. Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, felicitate the gathering. She explained Paavai philosophy and principles with the slogan, ‘Healthy Paavai, Wealthy Paavai and Powerful Paavai’. She made all the faculty members recite the slogan. She said that FRP is not a delivery forum but a discussion forum and the presenters should have the thirst to learn and update their knowledge and skill from the seniors and experts on the panel. At last, she concluded by saying that Faculty Revalidation Programme is not a fault finding process but it is a fact finding process and the members should use this feedback channel in the right sense of the word. With this the inauguration came to an end. Dr.R.Kasthuri Bai, Dean Faculty Development Department, welcomed the gathering. 140 faculty members participated in the inauguration. The Deans, Principals, HoDs and senior faculty members graced the occasion. The FRP session went on for a month, wherein Faculty members from PEC, PCE, PCT,PPC and PASCW presented their topics. Totally around 150 faculty members presented their topics in front of the panel. With this FRP came to an end.
