ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE ON THE TITLE INTERNET OF THINGS
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Organized an Alumni Guest Lecture series-1 on the title of INTERNET OF THINGS. The session was inaugurated at 10 a.m. in Bright hall By Dr.J.Sundararajan, Principal, Pavai College of Technology, in the presence of Head of the Department ECE Ms.M.Sahaya Sheela, Faculty members and students from various departments of Paavai Institutions. Principal Dr.J.Sundarajan listed the achievements of our Alumni guest speaker and motivated the students to achieve like our Alumni.
The keynote address was given by the guest speaker Mr.Aswin C Venu, R&D Engineer, Fourth Frontiers, Bangalore. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Pavai College of Technology for their support. He elaborated his experience as a student of Paavai which gave him confidence to face the real world outside the campus. The session was continued on the title INTERNET OF THINGS. He said briefly about what are Internet of Things, how IoT works, current status and future prospect of IoT and various applications of IoT.
He also emphasized the importance of Economic and corporate aspects of IoT. He highlighted that, Python is the best programming language for development of IoT. He gave some practical demonstrations using BBC Micro bit IoT kit. He addressed students who are all interested in embedded and IoT projects separately and assured them his guidance will be continued in future. The Lecture was followed by question-answer session. Finally proposed vote of Thanks. With this session came to an end.
