The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Pavai College of Technology organized a one-day online webinar through Google Meet Platform titled on “CYBER SECURITY” on 13th May 2022. The programme commenced with a Prayer song along with Tamilthai Vazthu. Ms.J Nithya, second year B.E/CSE welcomed the participants.Principal,Pavai College of Technology given welcome address to the students.Ms.M.Faritha Begum.,Hod(I/C) had given speech about introduction and importance about Cybercrime and its application to Students. Ms.B.Vimala Second year B.E/ECE introduced the chief guest. Ms.J.Shiny Duela,Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRM Institue of Science of Technology,Ramapuram,Chennai was the guest speaker. Dr.J Shiny Duela,has given presentation on various principles and challenges in cyber attacks and ways to protect against the unauthorized Exploitation of systems. Then she explained about various Cyber crime with examples and their prevention tools.She also given brief about Dark web, Deep web,Surface web and applications of cyber attacks
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by P.Priyadharshini from Second year BE/ECE and the session ended with National Anthem.. This webinar helped the students as well as staff in understanding the concept of Cyber Crime and also got opportunity to know about prevention tools in cyber crime . The session was very informative and interesting. Totally 70 students got benefited from the session.
